ELECTRIC LUXURY -- Entertainer Arthur Godfrey leans on the front door of a new $30,000 Silver Volt, a Detroit-made electric luxury car to be introduced to the Coachella Valley in the spring. Standing with Godfrey is David Campbell, a Riverside auto dealer planning to open a Silver Volt dealership in Palm Desert, Several of

the blue and silver cars, manufactured by Electric Auto Corp., and electric charging station were on display in Indian Wells Thursday. Godfrey is a longtime friend of Robert Aronsson, inventor of the rechargeable batteries used in the Silver Volt.
